IES-6000
12.5U Next-Generation Multi-service
IP DSLAM
The 12.5U high-density IES-6000 is the next-
generation IP DSLAM with Gigabit backplane which
supports up to 16 vertical slots for any combination of
the supported 48- port G.SHDSL/G.SHDSL.bis, 48-port
or 72-port ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ line cards and 24-port
VDSL2 line cards. VDSL2 line cards will feature the
ADSL2+ fall back feature in the next release. Carrier-
class redundancy is also supported by the 2-slot
MSC1024G/MSC1224G cards and 2 power input
modules. The MSC cards provide sophisticated layer-
2+ switching features and aggregate traffic from xDSL
users into eight Gigabit Ethernet uplink interfaces. The
maximum port capacity can be up to 768/1152 ports.
IES-5000
6.5U High-density Multi-service
IP DSLAM
The IES-5000 is a high-density IP DSLAM with Gigabit
backplane which supports up to 8 slots for any
combination of the supported 48-port
G.SHDSL/G.SHDSL.bis, ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ line cards
and 24-port VDSL2 line cards. The VDSL2 line card
operates in PTM mode and will include the ADSL2+ fall
back feature in the next release. Carrier-class
redundancy is also supported by the 2-slot MSC cards
and 2 power input modules. The MSC cards provide
sophisticated layer-2+ switching features and
aggregate traffic from xDSL users into four Gigabit
Ethernet uplink/subtending interfaces. The maximum
port capacity can be up to 384 ports.
NetAtlas Access EMS Product at a Glance
All ZyXEL IP DSLAMs are manageable through Telnet, the local console port, web GUI or SNMP. ZyXEL offers a powerful, yet user-
friendly Element Management System (EMS), NetAtlas Access, which acts as a SNMP Manger to perform fault, security,
performance, and configuration management. NetAtlas Access is designed to allow multiple administrators to simultaneously
manage hundreds of ZyXEL IP DSLAMs. In order to satisfy the cost and performance demands, you can install NetAtlas Access
on two platforms: Windows 2000/XP and Sun Solaris. In addition, NetAtlas Access also provides XML/SOAP-based Northbound
interface to external Operation Support Systems (OSS).
